It’s natural for neighbours to want to help one another, offering rides to the market, changing a light bulb for someone who should stay off the ladder, and so on. What if we were to formalize this? How would you feel about an “I am my brother’s and sister’s keeper” volunteer programme where we all get together to look out for one another, and try to reduce our dependence on paid professionals? Does volunteerism have a place in Meaford Haven, and what would that be?

What follows is a list of possibilities that we would like you to rank on a five-scale according to how important (5 being the most important) or unimportant (1 being the least important) they are to your choice of living here or not.
